Fiona Williamson
Fiona is the Director of FWLAW and an admitted Attorney, Conveyancer and Notary Public. She obtained her B.Proc and LLB degrees from the University of Port Elizabeth (now Nelson Mandela University) and was admitted as an Attorney in 1999, later qualifying as a Conveyancer and Notary Public in 2001.
She began her career in Gqeberha before gaining international experience at a pension company in Southampton, United Kingdom. Fiona later relocated to Mossel Bay, where she established her boutique practice in 2015, specialising in conveyancing, wills and estates.
Since founding the firm, she has grown a dedicated team and built a well-established practice known for its personalised service, strong conveyancing expertise and commitment to community-focused legal solutions. The firm is actively involved in residential developments and initiatives aimed at expanding property ownership opportunities in Mossel Bay.
Fiona is passionate about giving back to the community and serves on various local organisations, including the Rotary Club of Mossel Bay, the Community Policing Forum and other development and welfare initiatives.
Outside of work, she enjoys time with her dog and three cats, reading, wine appreciation and the occasional round of golf.
Suegnet van Rensburg
Suegnet is an admitted Attorney, Conveyancer and Notary Public. She holds BCom Law and postgraduate LLB degrees from Stellenbosch University.
Originally from Pretoria, Suegnet moved to Mossel Bay in 2014 and quickly fell in love with the town, which she has proudly called home ever since. She oversees the firm's bonds and developments department and focuses primarily on conveyancing, where she is passionate about delivering efficient, practical and client-focused service.
Known for her enthusiastic and approachable nature, Suegnet believes that professionalism and a good sense of humour go hand in hand. She values building lasting relationships with clients and colleagues and always has time for a joke.
Outside the office, Suegnet enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling, sharing a good braai and red wine, and occasionally fitting in a round of golf or a game of action netball. She is a proud wife and mother to one son.
Sharlene Meyer
Sharlene is the Office Manager at FWLAW and brings over 30 years of experience in attorneys' firms. Originally from the Eastern Cape, she moved to Mossel Bay where she completed her schooling and has since built a strong career in the legal field, with a particular passion for numbers and administration.
Known affectionately within the firm as "F1", Sharlene is the go-to person for all internal operations and matters relating to the day-to-day running of the practice. She oversees the smooth functioning of the office, including administration, bookkeeping, payments, guarantees and final statements, ensuring that all financial and operational processes are managed efficiently.
Outside of work, Sharlene enjoys sketching, painting, reading and creative pursuits such as graphic design and sewing.
Hennie de Vaal
Hennie joined our team in March 2025. Originally from Cape Town, he has called Mossel Bay home since 2004.
He brings extensive knowledge of the deed's registration process, supported by his diplomas and valuable hands-on experience gained from working in the Deeds Office.
Hennie is a people person who thrives in social environments. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time in his garden and making the most of the outdoors.
Lize Heathfield
Lize joined the team on 1 May 2021. Assisting in a results driven department, as the conveyancing department is, is never easy, but Lize handles the daily pressure with ease and grace. No task is too much for her and her interaction with the clients and various outside agencies (Municipality, SARS, Managing Agents) is always exemplary.
Lize strives to ensure that each transaction attended to by FWLaw receives the highest standard of care and is attended to in the quickest turnaround time possible.
Charlene Strydom
Born and raised in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth), Charlene matriculated in 2002 from DF Malherbe High School. She joined the team on 2 February 2026 and has been in the conveyancing field since 2004.
She forms part of the Conveyancing Department, where she attends to bond registrations and bond cancellations.
Outside of work, she enjoys playing bowls as a sport and has a strong love for gardening, fishing, and spending time in nature. Whenever time allows, she also enjoys going for hikes and being outdoors.
Hanli de Bruin
Hanli originates from the Free State, but found her forever home right here in Mossel Bay 15 years ago. She joined the team in October 2024 as Office Administrator and Receptionist and has since transitioned into our Conveyancing Department.
A true go-getter with a passion for people, Hanli comes from a strong sales and hospitality background. With a proven track record in customer service, client confidentiality, administration, and written communication, she has adapted exceptionally well to her role within the Conveyancing Department.
Jennifer van Rooyen
Jenni joined FWLaw in 2017. She started out in reception but has spread her wings and now is deeply imbedded in our Wills and Estates Department.
Her skills of patience and persistence are tested on a daily basis with the Masters Offices around South Africa. She has developed a sterling reputation for getting things finalized. Jenni also assists with all overflow work.
Bianca Maritz
Bianca joined our team in 2025 as a Junior Bookkeeper. She matriculated in 2007 in Welkom and relocated to Mossel Bay in 2014.
She has a strong passion for numbers and is always willing to go the extra mile to broaden her knowledge and skill set.
Outside of work, Bianca enjoys spending quality time with her family and sharing good food with family and friends.
Wilethea Damons
Wilethea joined our team in May 2025 as a Junior Bookkeeper. Born in Port Elizabeth and having completed her schooling in Pretoria, she relocated to Mossel Bay in 2020 to join her parents, build a life, and raise her family.
She is an outgoing individual with a contagious laugh and a genuine enthusiasm for learning and growth.
Outside of work, Wilethea enjoys spending quality time with family and friends and making the most of every opportunity to enjoy the beach.
Mignon Pieterse
Mignon moved to Mossel Bay in 2023 from Pretoria, where she grew up and completed her high school education. She joined our team in August 2025 as our Receptionist.
She is a well-rounded individual who is eager to learn and grow within her role. With her friendly and warm personality, she ensures that everyone she meets feels welcome and at home.
In her spare time, Mignon enjoys reading, going for walks, spending time with friends, and playing musical instruments.
Dirk Calitz
Dirkie is FWLAW's all-rounder and the person who seems to be everywhere at once. He handles deliveries, driving, general maintenance and just about anything else that keeps the office ticking along smoothly.
Dirkie is always ready to help and usually arrives with a practical solution (and occasionally some unsolicited but entertaining wisdom). If something needs doing, chances are Dirkie is already on it — or has already fixed it.
Outside of work, he enjoys building things with his hands, listening to music, spending time with his dog and riding his motorcycle whenever he gets the chance.
